Little is known of the Galatoff who produced this several other pewter tableware items with Nekrasoff-like hammering and applied decorations, but his wares were advertised widely in Canada  and New York State in the 1930s.  This small milk pitcher with a simple strap handle is exemplary of his style.   Very good condition, with cleaned and polished  exterior and lightly-tarnished interior. 7" overall height.
