Carl Jacob's price guide to American Pewter (pub. 1957) may be out-of-date as far as its prices are concerned, but the book remains a valuable tool for collectors of early American pewter in providing a handy pictorial guide to marks and the relative scarcity of certain wares. A few entries are no longer thought to be accurate or representative of authentic marks (notably the Richard Lee mark J.202), but all-in-all, Jacobs continues to serve us very well for 65 years! Very good condition, but no dustjacket. 216 pp., hardbound.
